Using Warhol’s “In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes” statement as a premise, 15×15 advances the statement into the 21st century; with new media technology anyone and and everyone can be world famous! Just for 15 seconds…
The viewable artwork is an interface consisting of 15 individual rectangular screens, each individual screen displays a random video clip stored within the database for a 15 second duration: 15×15. In the 21st century art is being fundamentally realigned for anyone and everyone. 15×15 is a homage to Warhol, a realisation of the artistic utilisation of new media technology and the democratisation of art in the age of digital production.

Participants can contribute to the piece using a standard mobile camera phone that can capture video, and can send video clips directly from their camera phone using MMS (Multimedia Message Service), via email or upload from your personal computer to the online database www.15×15.org

Having a video of yourself on a some website doesn’t make you famous (if it’s not youtube), and that pretty much destroys the premise behind the site. Idea is fine, but not good enough to make us believe! Anyways.. check it out if you want…

Natural Interaction is the investigation of the relationships between humans and machines. They create interactive artifacts that respect and exploit the natural dynamics through which people communicate and discover the real world. The research is aimed at creating technology-enhanced spaces that sense and understand human behaviors and expressions, and present digital content as it was real, physical stuff.

No need for the “napkin sketch”… now you can draw right on the table. The Chalkboard Table has a chalkboard top surface, allowing for creative expression during dinner. Seats 8, and has wheels for easy transportation.

This trailer for the short film, Missing Pages, by Jerome Olivier, is an example of beautiful horror. Each shot looks to be a gorgeous study of composition, lighting and color, heightened further with elements of slight animation, that leave the viewer a bit uneasy. Mix that with the great build up to violent cuts that Olivier choose for this, and you got one creepy trailer.
